A: I want to be just like you because you are so pwetty.

Bakets ball

We went to Shannon's BaKetsBall game last night and we had the best time. :) First, note the awesome outfit that Anabelle put together for herself. In case you can't quite get it all, I'll explain...orange shirt, camo pants, 'flowerdy' dress, and 'church' shoes. Oh, and the post nap pony tail that she said, 'looks pwetty.' How can I argue with that logic?
They were soooo funny during the game that I eventually started writing down everything that they were yelling at daddy. Such supportive little girls. You can tell that they aren't little gym rats like I was. They didn't quite get the whole, 'Daddy can't really talk during the game thing' regardless of how many times I told them. This is just a few of the things you could have heard them yelling at daddy. (keep in mind this is a church gym where everything echos and we were the only fans there. Every word was easy to understand)
A: (before the game) They better give my daddy dat ball.
T: Did Daddy score? Oh, on that basket or that one? Oh, was that our basket? (in other words, is daddy shooting on the right end?)
A & T in unison: (beginning about 10 min before the game and continuing throughout) GO DADDY GO! GO DADDY GO! GO DADDY GO!
T: Wouldn't it be funny if I yelled, 'Go Mike Huckabee?' !?!?!?!?!
A: (on the way out the door to the ladies room) Daddy, I just going to poop, I'll be wite back!
A: (in the ladies room) I hope my daddy doesn't miss me too much.
A: (during a free throw when S was on our end of the court) DADDY, DO YOU LIKE SNACKS?
A: (after overhearing me say 'dad blasted') Did Daddy blasted?
conversation in the car on the way home...
S: Thanks for coming to my game. Sorry we didn't win.
T: You didn't? I saw you make lots of shots.
S: Yes, but it just wasn't quite enough.
T: Not enough to be a winner?
A: (on the way home, about every five minutes of the 35 minute drive) I shur did have fun at your bakestball game daddy.
Me too little girlie!

Spider-girl

Today was nursery rhyme day at Taylor's school. They try to keep it low key so parents don't go nuts on costumes. The way that they do that is to not put it on the calendar and just send a small little note home the friday before a holiday, that you may or may not find until the night before the big day. OK, so that's not so much the school, but my little mess up. This morning when she asked me what she was going to be, we came up with this. THOU SHALL NOT JUDGE! So, Taylor's mom is not that creative. It beats last year's costume when she simply carried a pail and had a sign around her neck that said 'jill.' I'm getting better. :)

Back in the swing of things..

Everything seems to be in full swing around here these days. The girls are back in school and Shannon is back at work, enjoying it a lot by the way. Thanks again for all the prayers.

It has been a while since I've caught you up on some funnies, so here goes...Keep in mind most of these are just random, out of the blue comments from my children not brought on by any particular conversation...

A (while washing her hands): Mommy, sometimes we are white.

Me: OK !?! (noticing her white soapy hands)

A: Sometimes we are white and Daddy is wong.

Me: (slight grin)

Taylor has been learning a new verse this week. (If you haven't gotten Creative Correction by Blair from Facts of Life...get it now!) "A fool gives full vent to his anger and a wise man keeps himself under control." Prov 29:11. After getting in trouble for a bit of a bad attitude, she came to me to apologize and said, "I am so sorry, I was a fool." She has since apologized several times for being a fool and it is all I can do not to grin from ear to ear. How many 5 year olds to you know that use that term?

one more...

A: When I used to be a Mommy, I had earrings too. :)
