There were about 15 notes that look just like the one below all over my house. Am I posting this to brag just a little that my three year old can write her name? Maybe...but it was cute that she felt the need to post her name all over the house.

Wild Color Day
Today was Wild Color Day at school and everyone was to pick a color and dress head to toe in a crazy outfit all in the same color. Taylor chose white. (Don't you dare tell her white is not technically a color) Of course Anabelle could not be left out so she picked the ensemble below to go to music in.

It has begun
The utter chaos has begun. School, ballet, gymnastics, music AAAHHH! We've had fun, but been busy.

Anabelle has had several recent funnies.
1. she sings "I love you with all my heart, with all my mind and with all my STRANGE."
2. she asked me the other day when she is going to start with a T. (she is noticing that 'I start with an A and Taylor starts with a T.' she follows Taylor in everything else, why not this too?)
3. "Mommy, I am the same age as the bathtub." translate..same age as same size.
Taylor tonight after eating enough for two grown men (not abnormal at all), "I can tell I'm going to be a fat kid." Have you seen this child? She will soon be 6 and I'm not sure she has broken 40lbs!

A decade

Oh my word, really? A decade I've been married? I can't believe it has gone by so quickly. Ten years ago today I married that cute baseball player from BSU (Baptist Student Union). I was STRONGLY encouraged to meet this cute new baseball player that spent hours 'reading his BIBLE in the BSU all by himself.' (thanks Jill and Judy) Three children, five homes, three states and 10 years later, here we are. I love that sweet God-fearing man! He has been an amazing father to our little ladies and exactly the spiritual leader that this family needs. The only regret I can think of is letting him pick out his own tux. (and maybe that veil) ;) j/k

silly faces
5 months old!
How in the world did it happen? How did she get to be 5 months old? I'm finally at a place where I don't completely forget she exists anymore. ie completely loading up the car and THEN remembering she's quietly sitting buckled into her carseat still upstairs!!! I guess that's a testiment to the fact that she's usually such a sweet spirited child. In her short lifetime she has been on numerous trips to Arkansas as well as Target. She's been seasoned by one sister and picked up many times by both of them. Boy is she a trooper. So glad God has blessed us with this sweet little one. She has been a perfect addition to this family.
First day of school for Anabelle
First Day of Kindergarten
Taylor's first day of kindergarten. She has been ready for school to start since the last day of school in the spring. She is a school loving girl. I just hope that lasts for a long time.
I was the dorky mom who stopped carpool to take a picture with her teacher, Mrs Stacy.

She came home filthy. Can you see the dirt on her face? I assumed that she had just played so hard that she got dirty, no big deal. Then we started talking about school and she told me she was just so 'worn out,' (her words) that she just layed down on the playground. She assured me that she was having fun, but she just really wanted to rest. Not to worry, little miss has played on the playground everyday since.

While Taylor had her first day of school, Anabelle and I went to music at church. She was enthralled!

Final days of freedom
I know that for most of you in Alabama and Arkansas, school started weeks ago, but here in the Rushing household, we start tomorrow. It all begins; Kindergarten, 3yr old preschool, ballet, gymnastics and music. To say this Mom is a little anxious is understating it a bit. What will I do when my whole clan is not home together? How much will Anabelle miss Taylor? How in the world am I going to make it out the door, with at least a few of us presentable, 5 days a week? I am holding my breath in anticipation. We are all so excited about what is coming, but we have had some wonderful moments the last couple of days soaking up all of our free time.

This is a snapshot of everyone's activities the few minutes between lunch and nap time. They are all three very busy.

Playdates
We had beautiful weather this week. So, we spent a lot of time outside. On Friday, Anabelle had her sweet friend S over and these girls know how to have fun.
