the rest of spring break

SORRY! I've gotten some ugly phone calls b/c I've not been very diligent about updating the blog. OK, not ugly, just insistent. Here are a few pictures capturing the rest of our spring break. Papaw and Gran's visit will follow this afternoon...(hopefully).

On St Patrick's day, the big girls and I met up with some friends to go see The Princess and the Frog at the midnight (aka 7:45) showing. We all had fun. I actually enjoyed the movie.

Below, Anabelle is watching Shannon clean out the gutters. Obviously, it was riveting, b/c she followed him all over the house to watch.

Both girls got to join in the painting fun. We finally got rid of the brown/purple color in the dining room. I called it brown, but everyone else called it purple. It had to go!

Off to an easter party....more to come later.

Spring Break Day one

The girls are out of school and Shannon is off work. I can handle this spring break stuff! It has been great, and we are only on day one. We had an action packed day for our first day of Spring Break. The Finale was a trip to the mall to redeem our Build a Bear gift cards from Brandi and Jared. We left home 'in the middle of the night,' AKA 6:40pm. Although, with the time change it was still daylight, so it didn't have as much of the excitement as it would have a week earlier. They still thought they were supercool coming home after dark.

The girls had a great time creating 'Beautiful' (we are super creative when it comes to names) and 'Bella.' Caroline was her usual trooper self. Her poor eyes were so tired, but she didn't fuss a bit.

Shannon is patiently waiting downstairs for me so we can have our weekly date night where we watch 24. Oh, the romance....

So far in March

We have been having a great March. We've enjoyed awesome weather along with the rain. I got some of these shots during our afternoons outside. See below Anabelle's 'cowguhl bend.' She does this when she's got to 'take care of someone.' I'm not sure what it means, but she was certain that I needed a picture of it. Notice the choice of outfits too. She is all about some too small leggings.

During one of our lovely afternoons outside, Taylor announced that she wanted to be a missionary. She said, "I don't care if I'm sweating or freezing, I want to go all the way from one side of Alabama to the other side and from the top to the bottom, telling people about Jesus." How sweet. Then Anabelle, "Mommy, I'm going to be a missionary all the way across Disneyland." I love these two little personalities!!

The girls had their spring program/art show at school. They were both very proud. Check out Taylor's phonetically correct Guraf. I LOVE IT! Anabelle made it very clear to me that no one else's artwork was pretty enough to be as pretty as hers. She does not lack confidence.

Notice one of Anabelle's art pieces. These people are serious about their football. I know to most of you Arkansas people, it isn't as obvious, but once you've been in Alabama more than 10 minutes you learn that houndstooth means University of Alabama. Her teacher is even an Auburn fan!?!? This is crazy!
